The original X-COM series began its journey back in 1994. During its time on the gaming scene, it gained many ardent fans of turn-based strategies. But after six successful games, the creators took a break that lasted 11 long years. Most players did not even hope for the return of the legend. The UFO did arrive after all. The reboot of the series called XCOM: Enemy Unknown was received relatively positively, but a number of simplistic elements slightly shook the original community. Not everyone was excited about the news. The mood was stabilized only by the data disc, which brought a number of interesting novelties to the whole. In the end, the set was evaluated very positively by everyone, so we could expect that we will soon see another follower. Now we have XCOM 2 in front of us, which follows the events of the first part of the reboot. An interracial idyll
Those who finished XCOM: Enemy Unknown with full commitment will probably be a little disappointed. Instead of a retaliatory attack on the planet of the space aggressors, they are waiting for the conquest of their own world, whose leaders simply surrendered to the alien conquerors. The establishment of a new world order under the thumb of foreign leadership did not take long. In just twenty years, the ADVENT group, controlled by collaborators, took control of the entire Earth. Human cities have been rebuilt and improved. Purebloods now live peacefully alongside genetic hybrids and aliens. At first glance, the entire complex gives the impression of a calm, well-functioning society. But under the polished shell hides a police state, full of oppression and lawlessness. The majority of the population does not dare to even speak out against the system, fortunately there are brave individuals among them who harm it wherever possible. But the drag force is minimal compared to the mode size. The underground cells need a distinctive personality to revolutionize, so they free the legendary boss of the original XCOM project.
