Battles of tanks, ships and planes in War Thunder will be even better. Gaijin Entertainment has announced the release of the game's biggest update to date. Update New Power significantly improves the graphics, adds dozens of new vehicles, hundreds of improvements, and brings the game to a new generation of consoles.
Thanks to the New Power update, War Thunder is set to take advantage of modern PC builds and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The biggest innovation is the Dagor 6.0 engine. It significantly improves the visuals of the game on all platforms. On computers, it provides support for DLSS technology for RTX graphics cards. Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X can enjoy War Thunder at 4K resolution and at a stable 60 frames per second.
The developers boast of implementing new visual effects of the sky, different types of clouds, fog and the sun world. There was also an improvement to the explosions or flames from the cannons.
The update also includes 15 new aircraft, including the Harrier, Mitsubishi F-1 and Yak-38. There were also 14 new vehicles, including the T-90A tank expected by the community, and 19 new ships. Also on the list are new maps, rebuilt hangars, changes to missions, lots of bug fixes and issues, as well as overall content balancing.
War Thunder is free to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, macOS, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Linux.
