We find ourselves in Louisiana, sometime towards the end of the 19th century. It's a time of cowboys, bounty hunters and surplus revolvers. But beware, this is no Red Dead Redemption or its zombie DLC. The first thing you should know: The creatures you have to hunt here are no ordinary zombies. They are here too, only they are called Grunts, who have the role of targets on the shooting range. And if you don't want to end up the same, I advise you to sneak around and listen well. Because what's waiting for you in the nearest barn is definitely not a happy cow.

Hunt: Showdown is a PvE game but also a PvP game, so in addition to the environment, you should have a good time with other players as well. You're not the only hero in this world playing cowboy Doomguy. In a way, you're not really a hero at all, you just want prey, just like other hunters. You can get this by sneaking around a few smaller locations every round, killing a Grunt here and there, and quickly going to the extraction point. So much for my first few hours playing. But let's say that you are already a big hunter who wants a good prey.

So you have to get ready for the rodeo. There are usually two bosses on the map, but they are not easy to find. You need three feet to do this. These are no longer such a problem to find, as your character has a special ability to see their approximate location from miles away. After you've successfully uncovered all three clues, you'll have two options. Either walk your still-living character off the map and take all the experience points and lifetime trauma from the horrors you've encountered, or see it through and go inside that dark barn and send whatever lives there back to hell .
Real guts

The game currently has three bosses, the most common being the Spider. Forget the one in your bathroom, this is a super demonic, disgusting spider that you never know which way it's coming at you. You can hear its rapid clatter from all directions (unless you have headphones with good surround sound). His venom will run through your veins and his webs will stick to your face. I assume you just decided to go to the extraction point instead or try the Butcher. The butcher please is a pretty huge cloaked humanoid pig with a long, flaming hook. You just don't want to upset that, trust me. The final boss is so terrifying and deadly that I didn't even see him and I was already dead.
