What are we talking about? Talk about the now legendary Half-Life. Late this March, Valve released their latest game, which is lucky enough to boast this title. The announcement of Half-Life: Alyx was like giving a bottle of cold water to a man lost in the desert. It's been almost 13 years since Half-Life 2: Episode 2 was released and it's been waiting ever since. First Episode 3, then straight to Half-Life 3, and the wait slowly turned into despair and attempts to stave off that despair, coming up with various conspiracy theories and jokes about HL3 to stave off that despair. According to the title, Half-Life: Alyx no longer promised a direct continuation of the action adventures of the silent Gordon Freeman. Many people have remembered stories that go back even before this millennium, to the time of the first Half-Life. About the stories of Barney Callhoun from Blue Shift, who got a minor role in the second title from this universe, and Adrian Shephard from Opposing Force, who was not so lucky. Untraditional gameplay mechanics, detailed graphics, object physics and surround sound are just the beginning.
When you really fall into the game are the details that you can do in the real world, but in the game world they will take your breath away. Let's name things like breaking glass in windows, throwing plates instead of frisbees, watching the movement of liquid in a glass bottle, immediately breaking said bottle with a satisfying splash of contents, derailing a train, or sticking a needle with an unknown green substance directly into the stomach. Well, probably not the last one.
